Ciao Lia.
Secondo il Garzanti, “two by four” significa “piccolo, ristretto, limitato, insignificante”. E’ usato nello slang colloquiale americano.
NON dovrebbe significare “doppietta” come in quest’altra traduzione del brano:

dear ole roger, era dai tempi di the final cut che non scriveva una canzone apertamente anti-west, quella volta ce l’aveva con margareth tatcher (maggie what have we done to deserve all this?), questa volta se la prende direttamente col presidente degli stati uniti. credo che essere un pink floyd serva appunto a poter fare questo. per? ricordiamolo: roger waters – che ? un genio – ? anche un paranoico egomaniaco che fa quello che fa in primo luogo per se stesso. good ole roger, non ? colpa sua, noi lo amiamo lo stesso. quasi quanto si ama lui.

s?, per alcuni i pink floyd sono una religione. e comunque lo sono veramente.
